12 Days Incredible Wildlife Safari in Tanzania and Kenya

Day 1: Nairobi – Maasai Mara

Pick up from airport upon arrival and be transferred to Economic Adventure Safaris’ office for briefing. Meet your guide and the other group members and depart for the Maasai Mara Game Reserve via the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley and Narok town for refueling and lunch. Proceed to the game reserve where you will first check in at lodge or camp. You will have time for a little siesta before proceeding on the first introduction game viewing in Maasai Mara Game Reserve, returning back to the camp for dinner and overnight.

  • Accommodation: Miti Mingi Eco Camp budget tented camp located at the gate
  • Meals and drinks: Lunch and dinner plus one liter drinking water

Day 2: Maasai Mara (08:00 to 17:00)

After breakfast you will proceed on a full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography. Break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, looking out for hippos and crocodile. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 3: Maasai Mara – Lake Nakuru

Go on an early morning pre-breakfast game drive from 06:00 to 09:30 tracking the wildcat. If lucky, you will witness them as they hunt and kill. After breakfast, depart the Mara region for Nakuru, lunch en-route, with scenic views of Mount Longonot and Lake Naivasha from afar on the main highway. Dinner and overnight at a budget hotel.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park – Amboseli National Park

After breakfast you will proceed on a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its prolific bird life including flamingos. The park contains a sanctuary for the conservation of the white rhino while species like cape buffalo and waterbuck can be seen near the shoreline. Drive to Amboseli National Park arriving late evening with game viewing en route to camp. Dinner and overnight at camp.

Day 5: Game Tracking in Amboseli (08:00 to 17:00)

This will be a day of game drives in this park that contains swamp grounds in which elephants and hippos bathe in abundance. A variety of plains game, antelopes, birds, and Mount Kilimanjaro’s peak can be seen if weather conditions permit. Economic Adventure Safaris will cater for picnic lunches. Return for overnight at the camp.

Day 6: Amboseli – Namanga Border – Arusha

Go on an early morning game viewing before returning to the camp for a full breakfast. Later you will check out and proceed to Namanga Border. After immigration you will catch the shuttle bus to Arusha. You will be met and transferred to Arusha Center Inn Hotel bed and breakfast. (dinner at own).

  • Meals and drinks: Breakfast and lunch (dinner not included) and one liter of drinking water

Day 7: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast you will depart for Tarangire National Park arriving in time for lunch and an afternoon of game viewing. Lesser kudu, eland, lion, and gerenuk can be found in this beautiful park, noted for its multitude of baobab trees and its tree-climbing lions. Dinner and overnight at the camp with an upgrade to beds and beddings.

Day 8: Tarangire National Park – Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This afternoon, you will descend 2000 feet (over 600 meters) to the floor of the crater for a day crater tour with picnic lunches. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food. Dinner and overnight at the camp with upgrade to beds and beddings.

  • Meals and drinks: all meals included and one liter of drinking water

Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater – Serengeti National Park

Drive to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge, the site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s renowned archaeological discoveries. Visit this museum at an extra cost and see the findings including some of the man’s earliest known ancestral remains. Lunch will be at the Seronera camp. You will have an afternoon game drive in the endless plains of the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging in the shade. Dinner and overnight at camp with upgrade to beds and beddings.

Day 10: Serengeti National Park – Lake Manyara

Enjoy an early morning game drive before breakfast. Return to the camp for late breakfast mid-morning and then depart to Lake Manyara with lunch en route. Upon arrival have the evening game drive until sunset. Dinner and overnight at camp with upgrade to beds and beddings.

Day 11: Lake Manyara – Arusha

After breakfast, you will have a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park whose inhabitants include hippos, monkeys, tree climbing lions, flamingos, and other varieties of bird life. Lunch at the camp. After lunch, drive back to Arusha drop of at Arusha Center Inn with bed and breakfast.

  • Meals and drinks: all meals included and one liter of drinking water

Day 12: Arusha – Nairobi / Arusha Airport (ARK) / Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO)

After breakfast at Arusha Center Inn Hotel, Economic Adventure Safaris’ partner will be ready to take you to the shuttle bus for Nairobi where you will be received and transferred to the airport or your Nairobi hotel. Thank you for choosing Economic Adventure Safaris.

  • Children aged between 0-2 years are free of charge.

  • Children aged 3-12 years pays 75% of rates when staying on their own room separate from adults.
  • Children of 12 years and above are recognized as adults
