DAY 1:DAR ES SALAAM TO MIKUMI
You will be picked up at Dar Es Salaam Airport/Ferry Port or at the City Center of Dar Es Salaam where our professional driver will take you to Mikumi National park. This journey will take 5 – 6 hours, and you will have great opportunities to stop on the way anytime you feel you need to explore more of the Tanzanian local villages, which are along the road. Arrive at Mikumi in the afternoon, then sign up for a walking safari with a park ranger who will be armed to protect you while you will take a walk inside Mikumi National Park. This will take almost 2-3 hours, and you’ll be accompanied by our guide as well. On the tour, you can expect to see zebras from a close distance, giraffes, elephants, impalas, wildebeests, warthogs, monkeys, and many different species of birds. Later you will return to the gate where you will board your van and transfer to your lodge for leisure and relaxing at the swimming pool while waiting for dinner. DAY 2:MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK FULL DAY
Today will be a great day. We will go search for cat animals like lions or leopards and other rare animals. After breakfast, depart with lunch boxes from the lodge to Mikumi National Park, just a few km to the park. Arrive at the park’s entrance gate and check-in. Mikumi National Park is the second most famous Tanzania National Park after Serengeti National Park, in Mikumi National Park you will have a chance to view a big number of wild animals, like the group of elephant’s families, groups of giraffes, impalas and antelopes, lions, wildebeests, buffalos and a big number of zebras, wild birds, and crocodiles. Then later at noon, you will stop off at a resting point for lunch and drinks. You will proceed with the game drive until late, then return to Camp Bastian for dinner and overnight.
DAY 3:SUNRISE AT MASAI VILLAGE TOUR-DAR ES SALAAM
At 5:30, you will wake up and depart to Maasai village. You will depart with our driver to the Maasai village in the bush to explore what real Maasai people are like. You will learn a lot from Maasai people upon arrival like dancing with them, how their family lives, marriage life, and what kind of economic activities they are dealing with for saving themselves to cover their cost of living. In the Maasai village, you will be guided by a real Maasai person who speaks English. Then later you will return to the lodge for breakfast around 8 am where you will pack your stuff and head back to Dar Es Salaam. Drop off at your hotel or the airport in Dar Es Salaam.
