Day 1: Nairobi – Chogoria Gate – Lake Ellis
Your journey begins with an early departure from Nairobi at 6:30 a.m. Upon arrival at Chogoria Gate, you will meet your trekking team, including guides, porters, and chef. After a short briefing and brunch, the trek begins.
You will walk through a beautiful forest with fresh air and natural scenery. As you approach Road Head Camp, you will take a turn toward Lake Ellis. The lake offers peaceful surroundings and beautiful reflections of the hills.
Camp is set near the lake where you can relax, take photos, and enjoy a quiet evening.

Day 2: Lake Ellis – Camp Mintos
After breakfast, the trek continues through open moorland. The trail becomes steeper, but the views become even more rewarding. You will carry packed lunch and stop along the way to rest and enjoy the scenery.
In the afternoon, the terrain becomes rocky. You may start to feel the effects of altitude, so the pace will remain slow and steady. From a high point, you will enjoy a clear view of Lake Michaelson below.
Arrival at Camp Mintos allows time to rest before dinner and prepare for the summit climb.

Day 3: Camp Mintos – Point Lenana – Road Head Camp
You will wake up early at 1:00 a.m. and begin the summit trek at 2:30 a.m. The climb is gradual and steady. If conditions are clear, you will reach Point Lenana in time to witness sunrise.
At the summit, you will enjoy views of surrounding tarns, valleys, and peaks. After spending time at the top, you will descend back to Mintos for breakfast.
Later, the trek continues to Road Head Camp with scenic views of Gorges Valley along the way.

Day 4: Road Head Camp – Chogoria Gate – Nairobi
After breakfast, a short ceremony is held before descent. You will visit Nithi Falls, one of the most beautiful waterfalls on the route.
The trek continues to Chogoria Gate where lunch is served before departure back to Nairobi or drop-off in Nanyuki.
