Day 1: Nairobi – Fly to Maasai Mara National Reserve
Your Kenya Safari Tour begins with a transfer from your hotel, residence, or the airport to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to the Maasai Mara. The scenic flight takes approximately one hour, offering stunning aerial views of Kenya’s landscapes as you head toward the reserve.
Upon arrival, your driver-guide will meet you at the airstrip and take you on a game drive en route to your camp. This immediate introduction to wildlife often includes sightings of giraffes, zebras, and antelope across the plains.
Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and check-in before heading out for an afternoon game drive. The Mara is known for its high concentration of predators, giving you excellent chances to spot lions, cheetahs, and possibly leopards. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Full Day in Maasai Mara
Start your day with an early morning game drive between 6:30 am and 8:30 am, one of the best times to witness wildlife activity during your Kenya Safari Tour. Predators are often on the move, and the soft morning light enhances the overall experience.
After breakfast at the camp, enjoy a relaxed morning with optional activities such as visiting a Maasai village, where you can learn about local culture and traditions. This adds a meaningful cultural element to your safari.
In the afternoon, relax at the camp before heading out for an evening game drive from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm. This is another prime time for wildlife viewing, offering opportunities to see animals as they become active again before sunset.
Day 3: Maasai Mara Balloon Safari Experience
This is the highlight of your Kenya Safari Tour. Begin your day early with a hot air balloon safari over the Maasai Mara at sunrise. As you float silently above the plains, you will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of wildlife, landscapes, and the golden savannah.
After landing, celebrate the experience with a champagne bush breakfast, a classic safari tradition that adds a luxurious touch to your adventure.
Later, return to camp with a game drive en route and spend the rest of the day relaxing. You can enjoy the lodge’s facilities, take in the views, and reflect on the incredible experiences of your safari. Dinner and overnight stay at your camp.
Day 4: Maasai Mara – Fly to Nairobi
After breakfast, check out of your camp and enjoy a final game drive en route to the airstrip. This is your last opportunity to spot wildlife and take in the beauty of the Maasai Mara.
Board your return flight to Nairobi, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel or the airport for your onward journey.
This marks the end of your Kenya Safari Tour, leaving you with unforgettable memories of the Mara’s wildlife and landscapes.
