Day 1: Windhoek to Swakopmund
Your adventure begins with a morning pickup from your Windhoek accommodation followed by a safari briefing. Travel west through the towns of Okahandja, Karibib, and Usakos before reaching the spectacular Walvis Bay Lagoon, a Ramsar-recognized wetland famous for its flamingos, pelicans, and Cape fur seals.
Enjoy excellent photography opportunities while admiring the colourful birdlife and coastal scenery. Continue to the charming seaside town of Swakopmund, known for its German colonial architecture and relaxed Atlantic atmosphere.

Day 2: Swakopmund to Sossusvlei
Enjoy a relaxed morning exploring Swakopmund or take part in optional adventure activities such as sandboarding across the towering dunes.
Later, depart for the Namib Desert, crossing the vast gravel plains and the dramatic Kuiseb and Gaub Passes. Stop at the Tropic of Capricorn for memorable photographs before arriving at your desert lodge in the late afternoon.

Day 3: Sossusvlei Adventures
Rise before dawn and enter the famous Sossusvlei dune fields at sunrise. Witness the towering dunes glowing in beautiful shades of orange and red as the morning light spreads across the desert.
Explore the spectacular Dead Vlei with its ancient camelthorn trees surrounded by giant dunes. Climb famous dunes such as Big Daddy or Dune 45 for panoramic desert views and visit Sesriem Canyon, carved over millions of years by the Tsauchab River.
Look out for desert wildlife including oryx, springbok, and other desert-adapted animals.

Day 4: Namib Desert to Windhoek

Travel through Bullsport and Rehoboth before arriving in Windhoek during the afternoon. Drop-off is available at your selected accommodation, making this safari ideal for flights departing after 19:00.
