Lake Naivasha Crescent Camp

Lake Naivasha Crescent Camp is situated on the shores of Lake Naivasha, the heart of Kenya’s excellent Rift Valley, a 90-minute drive from Nairobi. You can also access the camp by taking your scheduled flight, which takes 40 minutes to reach the Naivasha Airstrip.

Accommodation and facilities

There are 20 luxury tents. The tents are constructed using canvas and styled in a way that gives a traditional ambience. Each tent is well-furnished and features a wooden floor, along with an en-suite bathroom equipped with a hot and cold shower. The tents are situated to offer guests incredible views of Mt. Longonot. The camp features an on-site restaurant that serves a variety of international and local dishes. Guests can either dine indoors or outdoors.

The camp also has a lounge and a bar full of refreshments that keep guests relaxed, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Crescent Camp also has an outdoor swimming pool, where guests can cool down and relax after a tiresome day.

Dining and cuisine

The camp offers international cuisine and also specializes in African cuisine. Their food is sourced from fresh ingredients. The guest enjoys their meal while taking in the beautiful landscape. Guests can either dine indoors or outdoors. For guests with special dietary needs, arrangements can be made in advance, but they should be requested.

Recreational  activities

The camp organizes several activities that guests can participate in, including boat rides that take one hour to Crescent Island, where you can spot the animals. Guests can visit Hell’s Gate for hiking, which takes approximately 5 to 6 hours to complete. You can hire bikes for the hike. While at Crescent Camp, you can take a nature trail and observe a diverse array of unique plants, birds, and animals.

Guests can also visit the cultural communities and learn about their way of life, engaging with them in person. The camp allows visitors.

Wildlife and experience

Naivasha is well known for flamingos. There are two types of flamingos: the greater flamingo and the lesser flamingo. The best time to see the flamingos at Lake Naivasha is during the wet season, from November to April. Hell’s Gate is another fascinating destination where visitors can engage in a variety of activities. Guests can enjoy guided game drives to explore the plains. Cycling is one of the primary activities done in Hell’s Gate. Lake Naivasha is also home to hippos, which can be spotted while taking a boat ride.

Event and conferencing

Crescent Camp offers a conference and meeting room that caters to corporate events and gatherings. Amenities found in the conference include projectors, writing notebooks, screens, Wi-Fi, and sound systems. The conference accommodates groups of small to medium size.

At Crescent Camp, team-building activities include boat racing, hiking, fishing, and other group activities. Weddings can also be held due to the scenic view of the lake.

How to get there

By road: Drive from Nairobi, heading to Naivasha, which is approximately 90 kilometers, taking 2 hours, depending on road conditions.

By Air: Take your scheduled flight from Nairobi and land at Naivasha airstrip. Later, they were transferred to the camp.
