Day 1: Arrival in Kigali | City Tour & Transfer to Akagera National Park
Welcome to Rwanda! Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, youโll be met by your professional driver-guide who will take you on a city tour of Kigali. Visit important cultural and historical sites such as the Kigali Genocide Memorial, Kandt House Museum, and local markets for a taste of Rwandan life.
Enjoy lunch in the city before continuing your drive east to Akagera National Park, known for its savannah plains and diverse wildlife. Accommodation: Rhino Lodge Akagera
Day 2: Full-Day Safari & Boat Trip in Akagera National Park
After an early breakfast, begin your full-day safari in Akagera National Park. The park is home to lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, and buffalo, as well as giraffes, antelopes, zebras, warthogs, monkeys, and a rich variety of birds.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari on Lake Ihema, where you may spot hippos, crocodiles, and animals coming to drink at the waterโs edge. Lake Ihema is also a haven for birdwatchers, with species like African fish eagles and jacanas gracing the skies and shores. Accommodation: Rhino Lodge Akagera
Day 3: Transfer to Musanze | Caves, Twin Lakes, or Dian Fossey Experience
After breakfast, depart Akagera and head northwest toward Musanze, located near the Uganda border. This area is surrounded by volcanoes and natural wonders.
Upon arrival, explore the Musanze Caves, ancient lava tunnels formed by volcanic eruptions. After lunch, choose between a visit to the Twin Lakes (Burera and Ruhondo) for scenic views and local fishing culture, or embark on the Dian Fossey tomb hike to learn about the legendary primatologistโs conservation legacy. Day 4: Gorilla Tracking in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park (Uganda)
Rise early for a scenic drive across the border into Ugandaโs Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, nestled in the Virunga mountain range. After registration and a briefing at the park headquarters, begin your guided gorilla tracking adventure.
Trek through dense rainforest and bamboo zones in search of one of the endangered mountain gorilla families. Once located, youโll have one magical hour to observe them in their natural habitat โ a moment that will stay with you forever.

Day 5: Coffee Experience & Transfer Back to Kigali
After breakfast, enjoy a coffee tour near Bunagana, a border town between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Learn about traditional coffee processing methods and enjoy a guided tasting experience with local farmers.
After lunch, begin the scenic drive back to Kigali International Airport for your evening departure flight.
