Day 1-2: Victoria Falls – Zimbabwe
Upon arrival in Zimbabwe, you will be transferred to Batonka Guest Lodge, a charming lodge set within peaceful gardens just a short distance from the town center and the famous falls. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing by the pool, enjoying the tranquil surroundings, or exploring the local area before dinner.
The following day is dedicated to exploring the magnificent Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Walk through the rainforest trails and viewpoints surrounding the falls while admiring the dramatic cascades and rising mist known locally as “The Smoke That Thunders.”
Optional activities include scenic helicopter flights, guided tours, cultural experiences, and sunset cruises along the Zambezi River where you may spot hippos, crocodiles, and elephants along the riverbanks while enjoying breathtaking African sunsets.

Day 3: Chobe National Park
Today, transfer to the famous Chobe National Park, renowned for its huge elephant populations and exceptional wildlife viewing along the Chobe River. Upon arrival, settle into camp and enjoy the beautiful riverfront surroundings.
In the afternoon, embark on a scenic boat cruise along the Chobe River followed by a riverfront game drive. The floodplains surrounding the river attract large numbers of elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife, creating incredible safari experiences and photography opportunities.
Return to camp in the evening for drinks, dinner, and a relaxing night beneath the African stars.

Day 4-5: Khwai Private Reserve
After breakfast, continue your safari journey toward the wildlife-rich Khwai Concession located on the edge of the Okavango Delta. Upon arrival, your comfortable mobile camp will already be prepared by the camp staff, allowing you to relax and enjoy the peaceful wilderness surroundings.
Over the next two days, enjoy morning and afternoon game drives searching for elephants, lions, leopards, wild dogs, cheetahs, buffaloes, and numerous plains game species. Khwai is especially famous for its predator sightings and rich biodiversity.
If water levels permit, glide silently through the waterways on a traditional mokoro canoe excursion while spotting birds, hippos, and other wildlife from the water. Guided bush walks provide opportunities to learn about the smaller details of the ecosystem, animal tracks, and plant life from experienced safari guides.
Night drives are also included, offering unique opportunities to encounter nocturnal species rarely seen during daytime safaris. End each day with sundowner drinks and snacks while enjoying spectacular African sunsets.

Day 6: Transit to Maun
After breakfast, depart from Khwai and travel toward Maun where you will spend the night before continuing to the Central Kalahari. This stop provides a comfortable break during the longer overland journey between safari regions.
Upon arrival at Maun Lodge, enjoy time to relax, freshen up, and prepare for the next stage of your Botswana wilderness adventure.

Day 7-9: Central Kalahari Game Reserve
After breakfast, continue with your safari into the vast and remote Central Kalahari Game Reserve. Packed lunches and refreshments will be provided as you journey deeper into one of Africa’s largest protected wilderness areas.
The Central Kalahari is characterized by endless grasslands, open plains, ancient riverbeds, and dramatic desert landscapes. Despite its harsh environment, the reserve supports remarkable wildlife including giraffes, springboks, gemsboks, wildebeests, hartebeests, elands, cheetahs, hyenas, wild dogs, and the famous black-maned Kalahari lions.
During your stay, enjoy morning and afternoon game drives exploring different areas of the reserve including the famous Deception Valley. Sundowner stops in the wilderness provide unforgettable moments as the African sun sets over the Kalahari plains.
Evenings are spent around the campfire beneath some of Africa’s clearest night skies while sharing stories and safari experiences with your guide and fellow travelers.

Day 10: Central Kalahari – Maun
After a leisurely breakfast at camp, begin your return journey to Maun. Take in the final views of Botswana’s incredible wilderness while reflecting on the unforgettable wildlife encounters and landscapes experienced throughout your safari.
Upon arrival in Maun, you will be transferred to your accommodation or Maun International Airport for your onward journey, marking the end of your remarkable Southern African safari adventure.
