Day 1
Your Africa Safari Tours journey begins with a scheduled flight from Johannesburg to Madikwe Game Reserve. On arrival at the airstrip, a lodge representative welcomes you and transfers you to Madikwe Safari Lodge for check-in. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a relaxed lunch before heading out on your first late afternoon game drive in the reserve. As the sun begins to set over the vast bushveld, you experience your first encounters with elephants, lions, giraffes, and antelope before returning to the lodge for dinner served under the African sky.
Day 2: Madikwe Game Reserve
These two days are dedicated to immersive malaria-free safari experiences within Madikwe Game Reserve. Early mornings begin with a sunrise game drive where predators are still active and wildlife is most visible in the cooler air. After returning to the lodge, a hearty breakfast is served followed by time to relax, enjoy the lodge facilities, or unwind in your private plunge pool.
In the afternoon, you head back into the bush for another game drive in search of the Big Five and the reserve’s famous African wild dogs. Guided bush walks may also be arranged, offering a closer look at tracks, plants, and smaller wildlife. Between activities, you can enjoy spa treatments or simply relax while overlooking the wilderness. Each evening ends with dinner at the lodge, surrounded by the sounds of the African bush.

Day 4: Drive back to Johannesburg
Your final morning on this Africa Safari Tours experience begins with an early game drive or a relaxed breakfast depending on your flight schedule. This last safari offers another chance to spot wildlife you may have missed, followed by a return to the lodge for check-out. You are then transferred to the airstrip for your flight back to Johannesburg, marking the end of your Madikwe safari adventure.
