Day 1 – Transfer, Sunset Drive and Boma Braai
Your Africa Safari Holiday begins with pickup from your hotel in Johannesburg or from O.R. Tambo International Airport. You’ll travel through the scenic Highveld grasslands toward the Greater Kruger region and arrive at Tremisana Game Lodge.
In the afternoon, you’ll board an open Land Cruiser for a thrilling 4-hour sunset game drive through the reserve. This is your first opportunity to encounter Africa’s incredible wildlife and admire the stunning natural scenery. As darkness falls, your guide will use spotlights to search for fascinating nocturnal animals.
Dinner will be served at the Marula Tree Boma, where you’ll enjoy a traditional African Bush BBQ beneath the stars. After dinner, the night drive continues before returning for an overnight stay in air-conditioned en suite chalets.
Day 2 – Bush Walk, Afternoon Game Drive and Motlala Game Reserve
Your morning begins at sunrise with a transfer to the banks of the Olifants River for a guided 4-hour bush walk. Accompanied by experienced armed rangers, you’ll discover fascinating details about the African bush, animal tracks, plants, insects, and wildlife behavior while exploring the wilderness on foot.
After the walk, you’ll return to Tremisana Game Lodge for a delicious brunch. The afternoon offers time to relax around the swimming pool before setting off on a 3.5-hour sundowner game drive in the reserve.
Later in the evening, you’ll transfer to Katekani Tented Lodge for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Day 3 – Full Day in Kruger National Park
After breakfast, your Africa Safari Holiday continues with a full-day safari inside the world-famous Kruger National Park. Traveling in an open safari vehicle allows for excellent wildlife viewing and photography opportunities.
Kruger National Park is home to the Big Five, cheetahs, wild dogs, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, hippos, crocodiles, and hundreds of bird species. Your experienced guide will help track wildlife while sharing knowledge about the park’s ecosystems and animal behavior.
After an exciting day of safari adventures, you’ll return to Katekani Tented Lodge for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Day 4 – Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre and Game Drive
Following breakfast, you’ll visit the renowned Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, a conservation center dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating injured and orphaned wildlife. Here, guests can learn about wildlife conservation efforts and see various rescued animals up close.
After lunch back at the lodge, you’ll head to Balule Nature Reserve for another exciting 3.5-hour sundowner game drive. The reserve offers excellent opportunities to spot predators, elephants, buffalo, and other iconic African wildlife.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at Katekani Tented Lodge.
Day 5 – Full Day in Kruger National Park
Another unforgettable full-day safari awaits in Kruger National Park. Entering through the Orpen Gate, you’ll continue exploring one of Africa’s premier safari destinations.
Throughout the day, your guide will search for remarkable wildlife sightings while introducing you to the diverse habitats and landscapes of the park. Bird lovers will also appreciate the exceptional variety of species found throughout the reserve.
In the evening, you’ll return to Katekani Tented Lodge for dinner and your final overnight stay.
Day 6 – Bush Walk and Three Rondavels
Your final day begins with a short guided morning bush walk accompanied by an armed ranger. This peaceful early-morning activity allows you to experience the African wilderness from a unique perspective.
After breakfast, you’ll travel along the scenic Panorama Route to explore the breathtaking landscapes of Blyde River Canyon. One of the tour highlights is a stop at the spectacular Three Rondavels, famous for their dramatic rock formations and panoramic canyon views.
Later in the afternoon, you’ll return to Johannesburg, where airport drop-off can be arranged.
