5-Day Mount Kenya Hiking – Chogoria & Sirimon Route

Highlights

This 5-day Mount Kenya trek offers one of the most scenic and rewarding routes on the mountain. You will ascend via the beautiful Chogoria Route, known for its lakes, valleys, and waterfalls, and descend through the drier Sirimon Route.
Mount Kenya lies on the equator, but temperatures change with altitude. Mornings are usually clear and warm, while afternoons can be cooler with clouds. Nights at higher camps can drop below 0°C. As you climb higher, the landscape changes from forest and bamboo to open moorland and alpine terrain.
This route allows good acclimatization and offers a complete Mount Kenya experience.
