Day 1: Nairobi – Naromoru – Met Station
Pick up from your hotel in Nairobi and drive through the agricultural highlands to Naromoru town. Continue to Naromoru Park Gate where you meet your trekking crew.
Begin a gentle hike through dense cedar and bamboo forest along a wide trail. The walk is gradual and allows you to settle into the trek.
After about 3 hours, arrive at Met Station (3,049m). Dinner and overnight stay at the campsite.
Day 2: Met Station – Mackinder’s Camp
After breakfast, continue your hike as you leave the forest zone behind. The landscape changes into moorland with open views.
The trek becomes more challenging as you cross the vertical bog and climb steadily. You will have a picnic lunch at the Picnic Rocks.
Continue hiking to Mackinder’s Camp (4,300m). Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.
Day 3: Mackinder’s – Shipton’s Camp
After breakfast, hike along the summit circuit path around the main peaks. The views become more dramatic as you gain altitude.
You will see glaciers, tarns, and close-up views of peaks such as Batian and Nelion. The terrain is rocky but rewarding.
After about 5–6 hours of trekking, arrive at Shipton’s Camp (4,200m). Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.
Day 4: Shipton’s – Point Lenana – Old Moses Camp
Wake up early at around 3:00 am for the summit attempt. Begin the climb to Point Lenana under the early morning sky.
Reach the summit in time for sunrise and enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding peaks. On clear days, Mount Kilimanjaro can be seen in the distance.
Descend back to Shipton’s Camp for breakfast, then continue down to Old Moses Camp. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.
Day 5: Old Moses – Sirimon Gate – Nairobi
After breakfast, begin your descent through moorland and forest trails toward Sirimon Gate. The walk is gentle and relaxing.
The hike takes about 2–3 hours to reach the gate. Take in the final views of the mountain along the way.
At the gate, meet your vehicle and transfer back to Nairobi. Drop-off at your hotel marks the end of the trek.
