Depart from Nairobi early in the morning and travel toward the magnificent Masai Mara National Reserve, one of Kenya’s most celebrated wildlife destinations. The reserve forms part of the greater Serengeti ecosystem and is famous for its vast grasslands, abundant wildlife, and dramatic predator-prey encounters. It remains one of the places where large numbers of wild animals can still be observed in their natural surroundings.
The Mara is also renowned for the annual Great Migration, when thousands of wildebeest and zebras move through the ecosystem in search of fresh grazing. Depending on the season, you may have the opportunity to witness this spectacular natural event. Arrive at the reserve around lunchtime, check in, enjoy lunch, and then set out for an exciting afternoon game drive. Keep your eyes open for elephants, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, zebras, wildebeest, and other wildlife before returning to camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
