Day 1: Arrival and Pickup from Entebbe International Airport
You’ll be warmly welcomed at Entebbe International Airport by a representative from Likana Safaris, who will transfer you to your hotel in Kampala. Depending on your arrival time, you may take a short city tour of Kampala. You can visit historical landmarks such as the Kabaka’s tombs and the Bahai Temple. Kampala is also known for its vibrant food scene, especially its Indian cuisine, which you may have a chance to try. The drive to Kampala takes about one hour.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park – The Primate Capital
After breakfast, your safari guide will meet you at the hotel, give you a briefing about the trip, and then drive you to Kibale National Park. The journey is scenic, passing through small towns, forests, and beautiful tea plantations. Kibale is famous for its many primates and lush greenery.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Swamp Walk
Early in the morning, you’ll go to the park headquarters for a briefing before heading into the forest to track chimpanzees. An experienced ranger will lead your group. Kibale Forest is home to many chimpanzees and other monkey species. If you find them, you’ll get to spend one hour observing their behavior. In the afternoon, after lunch, you’ll take a guided nature walk through the Bigodi Swamp. This walk goes through grasslands and villages where you may meet local people.

Day 4: Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you’ll drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s most famous wildlife destinations. The park is home to lions (including rare tree-climbing lions), elephants, buffaloes, hippos, and leopards. It’s also a paradise for bird lovers, with over 600 species. Located near the Rwenzori Mountains and lakes Edward and George, the park offers incredible landscapes. In the afternoon, you’ll relax at your lodge and enjoy the views.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive and Boat Safari on Kazinga Channel
Your day starts with an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Guided by experts, you’ll look for lions and leopards, while also seeing elephants, antelopes, and many other animals. In the afternoon, you’ll go on a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel. This 40-kilometer channel connects Lake George and Lake Edward and is home to hippos, crocodiles, and countless birds. The boat trip offers great wildlife viewing from the water.

Day 6: Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, you’ll go for another morning game drive to see more wildlife. Then, you’ll begin your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, known for its mountain gorillas. When you arrive, you’ll check in to your lodge, which is surrounded by dense forest and offers a peaceful retreat.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Cultural Experience
Today is a special day. After an early breakfast, you’ll go to the park headquarters for a briefing, then set off into the forest to track endangered mountain gorillas. Once your group finds them, you’ll be allowed to observe them for one hour. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience to see these gentle giants in the wild. In the afternoon, you’ll enjoy a cultural visit with the Batwa people, one of the oldest tribes in Uganda, to learn about their traditional way of life.

Day 8: Return to Entebbe via Lake Mburo and Equator Stop
After breakfast, you’ll begin your drive back to Entebbe International Airport. Along the way, you’ll stop at the Uganda Equator for a memorable photo and a chance to shop for local souvenirs. You’ll then continue to the airport for your departure flight
