Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve
After your morning pickup in Nairobi or arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you’ll drive north to Samburu National Reserve, arriving in time for check-in and lunch at Ashnil Samburu Camp. After a bit of rest, set out for your first game drive in the arid, dramatic Samburu landscape. Look out for the famous “Samburu Special Five”—Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, beisa oryx, and the graceful gerenuk. Day 2: Full-Day Safari in SamburuV
Enjoy an early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the camp. Spend the rest of the morning at leisure or simply take in the serene surroundings. After lunch, you’ll embark on another exciting evening game drive. Samburu’s landscape, dotted with doum palms and backed by rugged hills, is home not only to the “Special Five” but also to elephants, leopards, lions, and over 350 bird species. Day 3: Samburu to Sweetwaters (Ol Pejeta Conservancy)
Depart Samburu after breakfast and drive to Sweetwaters, located in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, once the private ranch of Adnan Khashoggi. You’ll check into Sweetwaters Serena Camp, then visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary run by the Jane Goodall Institute. Later, explore the black rhino sanctuary—home to over 40 rhinos. This conservancy offers high wildlife density and exclusive experiences including optional camel treks, lion tracking, and night game drives. Day 4: Sweetwaters to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, journey through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park. Upon arrival, check into Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge and enjoy lunch. Later in the afternoon, head out for a game drive. Known for its alkaline lake and rich birdlife—including flamingos—Nakuru also shelters black and white rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, and leopards. Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve
Following breakfast, drive southwest to the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve, arriving in time for lunch and check-in at Ashnil Mara Camp. In the afternoon, head out for your first Mara game drive. This iconic landscape of open savannah and winding rivers offers extraordinary wildlife encounters—from herds of elephants and giraffes to prides of lions and elusive leopards. Days 6–7: Exploring Masai Mara
Over the next two days, enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in one of Africa’s top safari destinations. The Masai Mara is famed for its high concentration of predators and the Great Migration. If you’re lucky, you may witness a river crossing or a dramatic hunt. Look for all members of the Big Five, large herds of herbivores, and rare bird species. Day 8: Masai Mara to Nairobi
After breakfast, enjoy an en-route game drive as you depart the reserve. You’ll return to Nairobi by road, where you’ll be dropped at the airport for your international flight or transferred to your hotel (at additional cost).
