Details Itinerary

Upon arrival in Windhoek, you’ll be greeted by a representative who will assist with your connection to the 10:30 AM flight to Sossusvlei. If you’re arriving a day early, pre-night options in Windhoek can be arranged.

Upon landing at Sossusvlei’s airstrip, a guide will transfer you to Kulala Desert Lodge, nestled in the private Kulala Wilderness Reserve. Settle in and unwind with breathtaking views of the Namib Desert. Enjoy the peace of the wild and a dazzling canopy of stars by night. A plunge pool and veranda overlooking the waterhole offer the perfect introduction to Namibia’s raw beauty.

Today, you’ll have exclusive early access to Sossusvlei through the lodge’s private gate. Explore Sesriem Canyon, hike the mighty red dunes, or walk the Tsauchab River Trail. Marvel at the ghostly camelthorn trees in Dead Vlei, a photographer’s dream. Desert-adapted wildlife sightings and surreal landscapes round off a full day of exploration.

Your stay includes all meals, local beverages, and two scheduled activities per day.

Accommodation: Kulala Desert Lodge

After breakfast, fly north to the rugged beauty of Damaraland, with a possible stop in Swakopmund for refueling. On arrival, transfer to Doro Nawas Camp, where you’ll be welcomed with lunch and time to relax before an afternoon activity.

This area is rich in culture, ancient history, and fascinating geology. Interact with the local Doro Nawas community, and spot desert-adapted species like black rhinos and elephants.

Today, venture into the wilds of Damaraland in search of the elusive desert-dwelling elephants and other wildlife such as giraffes, oryx, zebras, and bat-eared foxes. The ochre-hued desert is surprisingly full of life, and the vast open spaces feel almost otherworldly.

Spend the afternoon soaking in the tranquility back at Doro Nawas. Take a dip in the pool or relax on your veranda, watching the colors of the desert change as the sun sets.

Enjoy breakfast and a scenic flight to Etosha, landing at the lodge’s private airstrip. Your guide will escort you to Ongava Lodge, located on a private reserve bordering Etosha National Park. After lunch and a bit of rest, embark on your first game drive.

The Ongava Reserve is a haven for lion, leopard, elephant, and both black and white rhinos, offering superb wildlife encounters in a pristine setting. Your lodge overlooks a waterhole that regularly draws in animals—often viewable from the comfort of your deck.

Today is all about flexible safari experiences, tailored to your interests. Go on guided game drives or walking safaris in Ongava or explore the adjacent Etosha National Park. With expert guides leading the way, you’ll learn about the land, ecosystems, and wildlife from a perspective deeply rooted in local knowledge.

Whether you see lions lounging, rhinos grazing, or elephants trekking through the savannah, every moment offers something new.
