Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu Game Reserve
Your Kenya Safari Package begins with a pick-up from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your Nairobi hotel. Travel north through changing landscapes before arriving at Samburu in time for lunch. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive across this dramatic reserve, defined by its volcanic soil, rugged hills, and the lifeline of the Ewaso Nyiro River.
Samburu offers exclusive game-viewing opportunities with its striking contrast of arid plains and lush riverbanks. Expect to spot elephants cooling off in the river, lions stretching in the evening sun, and leopards hidden in the acacia trees. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge.

This reserve is home to the famous Samburu Special Five — Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and the long-necked gerenuk. These rare species are only found north of the equator, making Samburu an exceptional safari highlight.
Your game drives will also bring sightings of elephants, cheetahs, lions, and buffalo. Between drives, enjoy lunch and relaxation at the lodge. In the evening, return for dinner and overnight stay surrounded by the wild beauty of Samburu.

On arrival, visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only one of its kind in Kenya, where rescued chimpanzees find refuge. After check-in and lunch at Comfort Gardens Sweetwaters, embark on an afternoon game drive.
Ol Pejeta is a centerpiece of this Kenya Safari Package because it is East Africa’s largest black rhino sanctuary and home to the last two northern white rhinos in the world. Visitors can also enjoy unique activities like lion tracking, night drives, or guided bush walks. With the Big Five roaming freely alongside endangered species, Ol Pejeta is both thrilling and inspiring.
