Day 2: Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, depart Nairobi for the world-famous Maasai Mara. Drive through the Great Rift Valley and the bustling town of Narok before entering the rolling savannah of the Mara. The Maasai people, adorned in their traditional red shukas, live harmoniously with wildlife in this vast ecosystem. Enjoy your first afternoon game drive, spotting elephants, lions, and giraffes in the wild.

Day 3: Full-Day Game Drive in Maasai Mara
Spend the entire day exploring the Maasai Mara. You may choose an optional hot air balloon safari at sunrise for a bird’s-eye view of wildlife roaming below, followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush. Otherwise, enjoy extensive game drives in search of the Big Five and the seasonal Great Migration. The Mara is one of the highlights of every East Africa and Uganda Safari Package, making it unforgettable.

Day 4: Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park
Leave Maasai Mara after breakfast and drive to Lake Nakuru. Stop at scenic viewpoints along the Rift Valley escarpment before arriving in Nakuru town. Afternoon game drives will showcase rhinos, tree-climbing lions, and a myriad of flamingoes that paint the lake pink. Lake Nakuru is a birdwatcher’s paradise with over 425 species recorded.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Jinja, Uganda

Day 6: Jinja to Kabale and Lake Bunyonyi

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking in Mgahinga National Park
Today is the highlight of your Uganda Safari Package – gorilla trekking. Set out early with professional rangers to track one of the world’s last remaining families of mountain gorillas. Day 8: Cultural Encounter with the Batwa
After breakfast, visit the Batwa community, Uganda’s indigenous forest people. Learn about their traditions, music, and dances, or enjoy canoeing on Lake Bunyonyi. Day 9: Return to Jinja via Kampala

Day 10: Jinja to Lake Naivasha, Kenya

Day 14: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater via Olduvai Gorge
Today’s drive takes you through Olduvai Gorge, where some of the earliest human fossils were discovered. Continue to the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best places in Africa to spot the Big Five in one day. The crater’s unique ecosystem supports a dense concentration of wildlife, making it a highlight of your safari.

Day 15: Ngorongoro to Nairobi
After breakfast, drive back to Nairobi via Arusha and the Namanga border. Stop for lunch en route before arriving in Nairobi in the afternoon.
