Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara – Into the Kingdom of Lions
Your adventure begins at 8:30 am with a pickup from your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Driving south, the journey takes you across the Great Rift Valley. Stop at the Rift Valley viewpoint for breathtaking photos, where your guide will explain the geological wonder of this vast landscape.
By lunchtime, you’ll arrive at Jambo Mara Safari Lodge, a family-friendly retreat nestled just outside the Masai Mara. After a hearty meal and a short rest, set out on your first afternoon game drive in the Mara. Children will delight in spotting zebras, elephants, and giraffes, while adults marvel at the sheer beauty of the grasslands dotted with acacia trees.
As the sun begins to set, the savannah glows golden, providing the perfect backdrop for your family’s first safari photos. Return to the lodge for dinner and settle in for the night, surrounded by the gentle sounds of nature.

Day 2: Full-Day Safari in Masai Mara – Big Cats & Mara River
After breakfast, pack a picnic lunch and head out for a full-day safari adventure. The Masai Mara is one of the best places on Earth to see big cats. Lions are abundant here, often spotted lounging with their cubs or stalking prey. Leopards rest high in trees, while cheetahs race across the plains.
Your guide will take you to the Mara River, a highlight of the reserve. Here, crocodiles and hippos thrive, and during the migration season, this is where wildebeest and zebras risk everything to cross the waters. Even outside migration, the river teems with life and makes for a perfect picnic spot.
In the afternoon, continue exploring the park’s rich habitats. Optional: Visit a Maasai village to experience traditional culture, dances, and crafts — an interactive experience children especially enjoy.
Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast, bid farewell to the Mara and begin your drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive in the afternoon and head directly into the park for a game drive.
Lake Nakuru is famous for its flamingos, which at times paint the lake pink. It’s also one of the best places to see both black and white rhinos. Keep your eyes open for Rothschild’s giraffes, zebras, and elusive leopards. Children will love learning about the park’s 350+ bird species, from pelicans to herons.
Later, check into Sarova Woodlands Hotel & Spa, where families can enjoy modern comfort, delicious meals, and a restful night.

Arrive at Amboseli Sopa Lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy your first Amboseli game drive, where elephants roam in large herds across the plains. With Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peak as the backdrop, this is one of the most iconic safari landscapes in the world.

Day 5: Amboseli to Nairobi – Final Safari Moments
Rise early for a morning game drive. This is one of the best times to see predators, as lions and hyenas are often active before the heat sets in. Visit Observation Hill, a unique picnic spot offering panoramic views of Amboseli’s plains, swamps, and Mount Kilimanjaro.
After lunch, begin your journey back to Nairobi, arriving by evening. You’ll be dropped at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your Family Tour safari — five days of unforgettable adventures, wildlife, and family bonding.
