Day 1: Arrival – Maun International Airport to Hotel
Arrive in Maun and meet your Tanzania weekend safari deals safari guide at the airport holding a sign. You’ll be transferred to your chosen lodge or hotel in Maun for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Maun to Makgadikgadi Pans National Park
Depart from Maun and drive 193 km to Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, one of the world’s largest salt flats, nestled within the Kalahari Basin. The area transforms during the rainy season, attracting one of Africa’s largest zebra migrations, flamingos, and predators such as lion and jackal.
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives with opportunities to see:
- Meerkats, elephants, jackals, lions, and various antelopes
- Birdlife including flamingos and migratory species
- Spectacular views from designated observation towers

Day 3: Makgadikgadi to Maun

Day 4: Maun to Okavango Delta
Transfer to the Okavango Delta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most biodiverse ecosystems. Upon arrival at the mokoro station, meet your local poler guide and begin your peaceful journey through the Delta channels in a traditional mokoro (dugout canoe).
You’ll be poled to your island campsite, where you’ll enjoy lunch, siesta, and an afternoon guided bush walk with chances to spot:
- Zebra, red lechwe, elephants, and various birds like kingfishers and cormorants
Evening around the campfire, enjoying dinner and the sounds of the wild.Accommodation: Camping
Day 5: Okavango Delta Exploration
Start with an early 2-hour walking safari for a deeper connection with the bush and its wildlife. After lunch and rest, you’ll take another mokoro ride, exploring the intricate Delta channels, papyrus-lined waterways, and learning about local ecology and culture.

Day 6: Okavango Delta to Maun – Departure
