Itinerary – Day 1: Entebbe – Sezibwa Falls – Jinja – Source of the Nile – Return
Early Morning Pickup:
You’ll be picked up from Karibu Guest House Entebbe and set off toward Sezibwa Falls, a culturally significant site in Buganda Kingdom. Rich with birdlife, folklore, and healing traditions, the falls are a serene and mystical location to explore and photograph. Your guide will share stories of how the twin rivers “Sezibwa and Bwanda” were born—according to legend—from a woman.
Local Snack Stop – Namawojolo:
En route, enjoy a culinary detour at the famous roadside market of Namawojolo, known for its mouthwatering nyama choma (grilled meat), chicken skewers, and fresh fruit snacks—a true taste of Ugandan street food.
Transfer to Jinja – Lunch & River Cruise:
Arriving in Jinja, you’ll sit down for a delicious lunch at a riverside restaurant, then proceed to the Source of the Nile for a boat cruise. Glide across the waters to where Ripon Falls (now submerged) once marked the river’s birth. Take in views of lush vegetation, bubbling springs, and breathtaking scenery as your guide explains the historical significance of the site.
Return to Entebbe:
After your relaxing cruise and exploration, you’ll head back to Entebbe, arriving in the evening. Reflect on your day’s cultural immersion and natural beauty as your memorable short safari concludes.
