Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After an early pick-up in Entebbe or Kampala, begin your scenic journey westward toward Kibale Forest National Park. Pass through lush countryside, tea plantations, and the Albertine Rift escarpment with stunning views of Lake Albert on a clear day.
Arrive in the afternoon at your exclusive lodge surrounded by pristine rainforest. Settle in, relax, and enjoy the natural sounds of the jungle as night falls. Accommodation:Chimpundu Lodge
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking, Bigodi Wetland & Community Walk
After an early breakfast, head to the Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for a briefing on chimpanzee tracking. Accompanied by experienced rangers, venture into the forest on a 4-hour chimp tracking experience. You may also encounter up to 10 other primate species, including red colobus monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and grey-cheeked mangabeys.
After lunch, enjoy a guided walk through Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-run eco-tourism project known for its birdlife, colobus monkeys, and swamp-dwelling flora and fauna. Continue with a cultural tour of the Bigodi community to meet locals and learn about their customs, crafts, and conservation efforts. Accommodation:Chimpundu Lodge
Day 3: Return to Kampala or Entebbe
After breakfast, begin your drive back to Kampala or Entebbe, passing through scenic landscapes and vibrant rural life. En route, enjoy a few picturesque stops for refreshments and photography.
Depending on your travel plans, you’ll be dropped off at your hotel in Kampala (not included) or at Entebbe International Airport in time for your evening departure.
