Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park

Kibale is the premier destination for chimpanzee tracking in Uganda and offers a 4-hour trek with nearly guaranteed sightings. As you search for chimpanzees, expect to encounter other primates such as red colobus monkeys, black-and-white colobus, vervet monkeys, and red-tailed monkeys. Bird lovers will also delight in the park’s rich diversity.
In the afternoon, you’ll take part in a community walk through the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a conservation project run by local communities. Here you can observe monkeys, bird species like the great blue turaco, and unique swamp flora.
