Day 1: Arrival at Khwai Concession
Upon arrival at Maun Airport, you will be welcomed by your safari guide and transferred by open-sided 4×4 safari vehicle into the remote wilderness of the Khwai Concession.
The journey itself offers incredible scenery as you leave behind the town and enter Botswana’s untamed bush landscapes. Upon arrival at camp, settle into your comfortable mobile safari camp and enjoy light refreshments while taking in the peaceful surroundings.
Later in the afternoon, enjoy a gentle guided walking safari around the camp area where your guide will introduce you to the sights, sounds, and smaller details of the bush. As the sun sets across the wilderness, relax with drinks before dinner while listening to the sounds of nature on your first evening in the wild.

Day 2: Full-Day Wildlife Experience
Wake up to the peaceful beauty of Khwai and begin the morning with a guided nature walk through the surrounding wilderness. This slower-paced safari experience allows guests to discover animal tracks, birdlife, medicinal plants, and the hidden details of the ecosystem often missed during vehicle safaris.
After returning to camp for breakfast, enjoy time to relax, photograph the scenery, or observe wildlife near camp. In the afternoon, continue with an exciting game drive exploring the Khwai area where open plains and river habitats attract a wide variety of wildlife including elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, antelopes, lions, leopards, and African wild dogs.
Depending on conditions, guests may also enjoy a guided island walk for another unique perspective of this beautiful wilderness area. Dinner is served beneath the stars while the sounds of the African bush create a magical safari atmosphere.

Day 3: Exploring New Wilderness Areas
Begin the day with an early morning game drive as the bush comes alive with wildlife activity during the cool morning hours. Explore deeper into the concession while tracking predators, observing grazing animals, and following seasonal wildlife movements across the plains and river systems.
After returning to camp for brunch, relax beneath the shade of the trees during the warm midday hours before setting out on a guided walking safari led by an experienced armed guide.
Walking safaris offer a more intimate connection with nature as you learn about animal tracks, signs, plants, insects, and the smaller details of the bush while safely exploring the wilderness on foot.
Later in the afternoon, continue with another relaxed game drive through different sections of the concession before returning to camp at sunset for dinner around the campfire and another peaceful night beneath the African sky.

Day 4: Departure – Maun
On your final morning, enjoy a relaxed breakfast before preparing for departure. You will then be transferred back to Maun Airport while reflecting on the unforgettable wildlife encounters, beautiful landscapes, and authentic safari experiences shared during your stay in Khwai Concession.
