4-Day Luxury Kidepo & Wildlife Safari

Highlights

This 4-day safari takes you to Kidepo Valley National Park, one of Uganda’s most remote and untouched wildlife areas. It’s perfect for a true African wilderness experience. The park is home to 86 types of mammals (like elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, and zebras), over 475 bird species, and 692 plant species.

Details Itinerary

Take an afternoon flight from Entebbe International Airport to Kidepo Valley National Park. Enjoy beautiful aerial views as you fly over northern Uganda. Once you arrive, check into your lodge and head out for an evening game drive to see your first wildlife.

After dark, go on a night game drive to spot nocturnal animals, including cats like lions and leopards, which are more active at night.

Accommodation:
Apoka Safari Lodge

Enjoy a full day of game drives. Start with the Narus Valley, where water is available year-round, attracting many animals like buffaloes, antelopes, elephants, and predators.

In the afternoon, visit the more remote Kidepo Valley in the north. It’s drier and has fewer animals but stunning views, dry riverbeds, hot springs, and mountain scenery.

Apoka Safari Lodge

Visit a traditional Karamojong homestead to learn about their lifestyle, culture, and traditions. See their unique homes and enjoy a traditional dance performance.

Optional activity:
If you enjoy hiking, take a full-day trek up Mount Morungole to visit the remote Ik community. The Ik are a small, isolated group with a unique culture that’s very different from the rest of Uganda.
