Your Short Kenya Safari begins with a morning pickup from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. From the city, travel south towards Amboseli National Park, enjoying the changing scenery as you leave Nairobi behind and approach the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Amboseli is well known for its large elephant populations, open savannahs and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro. During your journey and game drive, keep an eye out for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and other wildlife. Lions and cheetahs may also be encountered depending on the area and time of day.
Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch and settle in before heading out for your first afternoon game drive. Explore the park’s varied landscapes while your professional guide searches for wildlife and identifies interesting animal behavior and bird species along the way.
As the afternoon progresses, enjoy the scenery of Amboseli, with Mount Kilimanjaro providing a dramatic backdrop when weather and visibility conditions are favorable. After the game drive, return to Aa Lodge Amboseli for dinner and your overnight stay.
