Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Your safari adventure begins with pickup from your hotel in Arusha, where you’ll meet your guide, chef, and fellow travelers before departing for Tarangire National Park.
Known for its giant baobab trees and large elephant populations, Tarangire offers spectacular scenery and incredible wildlife viewing opportunities. Enjoy an extensive game drive through the park while searching for elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and various antelope species. The Tarangire River attracts large numbers of animals, especially during the dry season, making wildlife sightings particularly rewarding.
Day 2: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, continue your journey toward the world-famous Serengeti National Park through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the lush highlands of Karatu.
Arrive in the Central Serengeti’s Seronera Valley, one of the park’s richest wildlife regions thanks to the year-round Seronera River. After lunch, enjoy an exciting afternoon game drive in search of lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, hyenas, and countless plains animals roaming the endless savannah.
Spend the night surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.
Day 3: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Highlands
Begin the day with a morning game drive during the best wildlife viewing hours when predators are most active. This is another excellent opportunity to witness the Serengeti’s incredible wildlife and stunning landscapes.
Later, depart the Serengeti and travel toward the Ngorongoro Highlands. As the road climbs upward, enjoy panoramic views of the Great Rift Valley and lush green scenery. Arrive at Simba Campsite on the crater rim, where cool mountain air and breathtaking views create a memorable overnight experience beneath the stars.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Safari & Return to Arusha
After an early breakfast, descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife destinations.
The crater floor is home to an extraordinary concentration of animals including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, flamingos, and the rare black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool or Lerai Forest before continuing your afternoon game drive across the crater floor.
Later in the day, ascend the crater walls and begin the journey back toward Arusha.
Day 5: Materuni Waterfalls, Coffee Tour & Chemka Hot Springs
Conclude your Tanzanian adventure with a cultural and nature-filled day near Mount Kilimanjaro.
Visit the beautiful Materuni Waterfalls, one of the tallest waterfalls in the region, surrounded by lush tropical rainforest and Chagga farmland. Enjoy a guided hike before participating in a traditional coffee-making experience in Materuni Village, where you’ll learn how local Arabica coffee is prepared from bean to cup while enjoying Chagga songs and dances.
In the afternoon, relax at the crystal-clear Chemka Hot Springs, also known as Kikuletwa Hot Springs. Swim in the refreshing geothermal waters, swing from rope vines, or simply unwind beneath the fig trees before returning to Arusha for your airport or hotel drop-off.
