Day 1: Travel to Kisoro
Your journey begins at 7:30 a.m., with your driver-guide picking you up for the drive to Kisoro. After a quick breakfast and bathroom stop at Shell Kayabwe, you’ll visit the Equator landmark for a brief experience of the Earth’s rotation. From there, stop in Biharwe for a short hike to the Eclipse Monument, then enjoy lunch at Igongo Cultural Centre.
On the road to Kabale, stop for an aerial view of Lake Bunyonyi from the scenic viewpoint. Before reaching Kisoro, you’ll enjoy a final stop at the Mt. Muhavura volcano viewpoint, then continue on to your lodge for a relaxing evening.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Mgahinga
After breakfast at 6:30 a.m., head to Mgahinga National Park for your gorilla trekking adventure. At the park gate, you’ll register and receive a briefing before joining a group led by expert guides and rangers. The trek takes between 1 to 4 hours depending on the gorillas’ location. Once found, you’ll spend one magical hour observing the gorillas up close.
After returning to the park gate, you’ll receive your Uganda Wildlife Authority trekking certificate. Spend the afternoon relaxing, then head to Karunga Viewpoint for a stunning sunset over Lake Mutanda and the Virunga Volcanoes.

Day 3: Batwa Trail & Local Coffee Experience
Rise early and enjoy breakfast before heading to the park at 6:30 a.m. for the Batwa Trail Experience. Learn about the traditional lifestyle of the Batwa people, indigenous forest dwellers who once lived in Mgahinga Forest. Their stories, songs, and ancient hunting practices offer powerful insight into conservation and culture.
Later in the afternoon, dive into a hands-on local coffee experience, where you’ll follow the journey from planting to brewing. You’ll roast your own beans, enjoy a fresh cup of your creation, and take home a coffee souvenir.

Day 4: Golden Monkey Trekking & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After an early breakfast, set out for Golden Monkey trekking in Mgahinga National Park. These vibrant, endangered monkeys are unique to the Virunga Mountains. This experiential trek gives you a deeper understanding of wildlife research and conservation, lasting about 3–4 hours.
After your trek, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, one of Africa’s most beautiful lakes, dotted with 29 islands. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon at the lake.

Day 5: Travel Back to Entebbe
After breakfast at 6:30 a.m., you’ll begin your return journey to Entebbe Airport, arriving in time for your flight. Expect scenic landscapes and short breaks along the way as you wrap up your adventure in Uganda.
