After breakfast, your driver-guide will meet you at your Nairobi hotel and begin the safari with a scenic journey towards the Masai Mara National Reserve. Descend into the Great Rift Valley and make a short stop at the viewpoint, where you can admire the spectacular scenery of this vast geological landscape. Continue towards the Masai Mara and arrive in time for lunch. After lunch, head out on an afternoon game drive to explore the reserve and search for its remarkable wildlife. The Masai Mara is particularly renowned for sightings of predators, including lions, cheetahs and leopards. Located along the Tanzanian border, the reserve forms part of the greater Serengeti ecosystem and provides an important wildlife corridor between Kenya and Tanzania. Return to the camp in the evening for dinner and overnight accommodation.
After breakfast, packed with a picnic lunch, spend the entire day exploring the Masai Mara National Reserve. This vast wilderness forms the northern section of the greater Serengeti ecosystem and offers extensive opportunities for wildlife viewing. Enjoy extended game drives across the reserve, exploring its open plains and searching for the diverse animals that inhabit the area.
To add another dimension to your Mara experience, you can choose from optional activities available at an additional cost. Visit a nearby Maasai village to meet members of the local community and learn about their traditional culture and way of life. Alternatively, enjoy a pre-dawn hot-air balloon safari, rising above the reserve as the sun comes up over the golden plains while wildlife begins its morning activities. Your driver-guide can assist with arranging either optional experience.
After breakfast, check out from the camp and enjoy a final game drive as you begin your journey towards Nairobi. Upon arrival in Nairobi, transfer to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to Diani. Known for its beautiful coastline, white sandy beaches and warm tropical climate, Diani Beach provides a relaxing contrast to your safari experience.
On arrival at Ukunda Airstrip, our representative will meet you and transfer you to your beach resort. Check in and spend the remainder of the afternoon at leisure, enjoying the peaceful surroundings, ocean views and tropical palm trees. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be at the resort.
Spend the day relaxing along the beautiful white sands of Diani Beach, with the option to participate in a range of water-based activities. Diani is known for its long stretch of powdery white sand, clear blue waters and lush coastal vegetation, creating a picturesque tropical setting. Beyond its scenery, the beach offers numerous activities for visitors seeking adventure or relaxation.
Depending on your interests, you can take part in experiences such as deep-sea diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, kayaking, kitesurfing and other water sports. You can choose how active or relaxed you want your day to be while enjoying the warm coastal atmosphere and beautiful surroundings.
Early in the morning, you will be collected from your hotel and travel towards Wasini Island. Enjoy a scenic boat trip along the coast before taking part in a snorkeling experience accompanied by professional instructors. The waters around Wasini are also known for dolphin sightings, giving you the opportunity to look out for these marine animals during your excursion.
Continue to Wasini’s Swahili village, where you will enjoy a freshly prepared Swahili-style seafood lunch. After the day’s island and marine experiences, return to Diani and transfer back to your hotel for the evening.
After breakfast, check out of the resort according to the timing of your flight home. You will then be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), you will proceed to the terminal and await your onward flight, bringing your Kenya safari and Diani Beach holiday to an end.
