Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi as you travel southwest toward the renowned Masai Mara National Reserve. The journey takes you through changing landscapes and includes a stop at a Great Rift Valley viewpoint, where you can enjoy panoramic views across the dramatic escarpment and surrounding countryside.
Continue toward the Mara, arriving around lunchtime. After checking in at your camp and enjoying lunch, take some time to relax before heading out for your first afternoon game drive. The Masai Mara is characterized by expansive grasslands and diverse habitats that support a remarkable variety of wildlife.
During the afternoon drive, keep watch for elephants, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, zebras, and wildebeest, as well as numerous other plains-dwelling species. The Mara forms part of the greater Serengeti ecosystem, and during the seasonal migration, large herds of wildebeest and zebras move through the region accompanied by predators.
As the afternoon progresses, enjoy the changing scenery and, if conditions allow, spectacular sunset views across the savannah before returning to camp for the evening.
Main Destination: Masai Mara National Reserve
Spend the next two days exploring the Masai Mara on extended game drives, with packed lunches allowing you to remain in the reserve for much of the day. Early morning drives offer excellent opportunities to observe wildlife when temperatures are cooler and many animals are active.
The reserve supports a diverse population of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and numerous antelope species. The Mara is particularly recognized for its large cats and extensive resident wildlife, although sightings are naturally dependent on seasonal and daily conditions.
As you explore different areas of the reserve, your driver-guide will help identify animals and explain their behavior, habitats, and role within the ecosystem. The open savannah also provides excellent opportunities for photography and observing interactions between predators and prey.
Bird enthusiasts will find plenty to appreciate as well. The Mara supports a rich variety of birdlife, ranging from eagles, hawks, and falcons to vultures, storks, bustards, and colorful sunbirds.
Return to Enkorok Mara Camp after your game drives for relaxation and dinner, with another full day of exploration awaiting you.

After an early morning departure from the Mara, travel toward Lake Nakuru National Park through the scenic landscapes of Kenya’s Great Rift Valley. The journey provides changing views of rolling countryside, open plains, and rural communities before reaching the Nakuru region.
Lake Nakuru is well known for its birdlife and important rhino conservation area. Depending on current lake conditions, flamingos may be seen around the shoreline, while the park’s diverse habitats support many other bird species.
Arrive in time for lunch before setting out on an afternoon game drive. Explore the areas surrounding the lake and keep an eye out for white rhinos, black rhinos, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, and other wildlife. Leopards may also be encountered, although sightings are never guaranteed.
The combination of lake scenery, woodland, open grassland, and rocky landscapes creates a different safari experience from the expansive plains of the Masai Mara.
After your afternoon exploration, leave the park and head to your accommodation for dinner and relaxation.

Amboseli is famous for its large elephant population and dramatic views of Mount Kilimanjaro when weather conditions provide clear visibility. The park features a mixture of dry plains, an ancient lake basin, acacia woodland, rocky volcanic areas, and lush wetland habitats around its permanent swamps.
During your afternoon drive, look for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and other wildlife. Predators such as lions and cheetahs may also be encountered in suitable areas.
