Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Your safari begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Arusha, where you will meet your guide and crew. After a short briefing, you will drive approximately two hours to Tarangire National Park.
Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. During your game drive, you will have the chance to spot lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and other wildlife.
After a picnic lunch, you will continue exploring the park before heading to your campsite in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.
Day 2: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will depart for Serengeti National Park, passing through the scenic highlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey offers beautiful landscapes along the way.
As you enter the Serengeti, the vast plains stretch endlessly into the distance. You will head toward the central Seronera area, known for its rich wildlife and permanent water sources.
You will arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight stay will be at your campsite in the Serengeti.
Day 3: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
You will start the day with an early morning game drive, one of the best times to spot predators and active wildlife. The Serengeti offers incredible opportunities to see a wide variety of animals.
After returning to camp for lunch and packing, you will continue with a game drive as you exit the Serengeti. Wildlife sightings are still common during this journey.
You will drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and arrive at a campsite near the crater rim. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the campsite.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
After an early breakfast, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. This unique ecosystem is home to a high concentration of wildlife, including the endangered black rhino.
You will enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool, where you can relax while watching animals in their natural habitat. The crater offers some of the best wildlife viewing in Africa.
After the game drive, you will return to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay will be at your lodge.
Day 5: Kilimanjaro Day Hike – Departure
After breakfast, you will head to Mount Kilimanjaro for a guided day hike via the Marangu Route. The trek takes you through lush rainforest with opportunities to see birds and monkeys.
You will hike up to Mandara Hut, enjoying scenic views and a peaceful mountain environment. A picnic lunch will be served before beginning your descent.
After the hike, you will return to Arusha or transfer to the airport, marking the end of your Tanzania safari and Kilimanjaro experience.
