Day 1: Arrival in Moshi – Start of Your Luxury Tanzania Safari
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you’ll be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your lodge in Moshi. This day is all about rest and preparation. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax in the hotel’s gardens or take in views of Mount Kilimanjaro as anticipation builds for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp
Your Kilimanjaro trek begins on the Luxury Tanzania Safari as you enter the lush rainforest of the western slopes. Hiking from Londorossi Gate, you’ll ascend gradually to Mti Mkubwa Camp at 2,750 meters, where towering trees and the sounds of the forest set a peaceful backdrop for your first night on the mountain.

Day 3: Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp
Continue your climb through forest trails into the heath and moorland zone. As you emerge onto the Shira Plateau, expansive views unfold, offering a glimpse of Kilimanjaro’s grandeur. The trek ends at Shira 1 Camp (3,600m), perfectly placed for acclimatization and stunning sunsets.

Day 4: Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp

Day 5: Shira 2 Camp to Lava Tower, Descend to Barranco Camp
This important acclimatization day follows the “climb high, sleep low” principle. Trek to Lava Tower (4,600m), then descend to Barranco Camp (3,960m). The changing landscapes and striking views of volcanic formations make this one of the trek’s most dramatic days.

Day 6: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp
The day begins with the ascent of the famous Barranco Wall. Though steep, the climb is rewarding, with breathtaking vistas. From the top, the path winds through alpine valleys before reaching Karanga Camp (4,000m), where you’ll rest and prepare for the final stages of your climb.

Day 7: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp
Hike through alpine desert landscapes to Barafu Camp (4,680m), the base camp for Kilimanjaro’s summit. The barren scenery is both stark and awe-inspiring. Early dinner and rest are essential, as your summit attempt begins at midnight.

Day 8: Uhuru Peak – Summit Day & Descent to Millennium Camp
At midnight, begin the ascent to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the “Roof of Africa.” Reaching the summit at sunrise is the ultimate highlight of your Luxury Tanzania Safari. After celebrating at the peak, descend to Barafu for rest before continuing to Millennium Camp.

Day 9: Descent to Moshi – Recovery Day

Day 10: Tarangire National Park – Elephants & Baobabs
