The Mara is also an excellent destination for birdwatchers, with a remarkable variety of resident and migratory birds.

During the game drives, you will have opportunities to stop at scenic locations for wildlife photography and enjoy a picnic lunch in the reserve. The two full days provide flexibility to explore different areas of the Mara and observe wildlife at different times of day. After breakfast, depart the Masai Mara and drive toward Lake Naivasha, one of the scenic freshwater lakes within Kenya’s Great Rift Valley. The journey takes you through changing landscapes, from the Mara’s open savannahs toward the greener highland surroundings of Naivasha.

Upon arrival, enjoy lunch and take some time to relax before experiencing the lake. Depending on the itinerary and timing, you can enjoy a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, providing an opportunity to see hippos in the water and observe a variety of bird species along the shoreline. The lake is particularly appealing to bird enthusiasts, with fish eagles, pelicans, herons and other waterbirds frequently seen around the lake.

You may also visit Crescent Island, where a guided walking experience can provide a different perspective from traditional vehicle-based game drives. The island is home to giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and other wildlife, allowing visitors to experience the landscape on foot. After the day’s activities, return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, leave Lake Naivasha and continue your Kenya Big Five Safari toward Amboseli National Park. The drive takes you through changing Kenyan landscapes as you travel toward the southern part of the country. On arrival, check in at your lodge and enjoy lunch before taking some time to rest.

In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in Amboseli National Park. The park is famous for its impressive elephant herds, open plains, seasonal wetlands and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro when weather conditions are clear. As you explore with your guide, look out for elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, hippos and other wildlife.

The park’s unique combination of wildlife and mountain scenery makes it an excellent destination for photography. The afternoon game drive continues until later in the day before you return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Wake up early for your final game drive in Amboseli National Park. The morning safari provides one last opportunity to explore the park and search for wildlife before beginning your journey back to Nairobi. Early morning conditions can also provide beautiful views of Mount Kilimanjaro, particularly when the skies are clear.

During the game drive, your guide will take you through the park’s wildlife-rich areas, looking for elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest and other species. After the game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast and check out.

Begin your road journey toward Nairobi, with lunch served en route. Continue through the Kenyan countryside and arrive in Nairobi at approximately 5:00 pm, where you will be dropped off at your hotel, residence or another agreed location.
