14-Day Kilimanjaro Trekking & Northern Circuit Safari

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be warmly greeted by your professional safari guide and transferred to Arusha Planet Lodge. This first evening is for relaxation, preparation, and anticipation of the adventure ahead.

After breakfast, transfer to Londorossi Gate for park registration before beginning your Kilimanjaro trek. Hike through lush rainforests filled with wildlife and tropical birds to Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,820m). This marks the first step of your Tanzania adventure, blending trekking with nature immersion.

Today’s trek ascends from dense rainforest into open moorland, revealing sweeping views of the Shira Plateau. The hike ends at Shira 1 Camp (3,500m), a scenic site above the clouds, offering your first glimpse of Kilimanjaro’s majestic summit.

Continue across the Shira Plateau toward Shira 2 Camp (3,850m). The gradual elevation gain makes this day excellent for acclimatization while enjoying expansive views of volcanic ridges and alpine landscapes.

After breakfast, complete your descent through lush montane forests to Mweka Gate, where you’ll receive your summit certificates. Transfer back to Arusha for a well-deserved rest at Arusha Planet Lodge.

Your safari portion begins with a game drive in Tarangire National Park, famed for its enormous elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Spot lions, giraffes, zebras, and more, while enjoying a picnic lunch in the heart of the savannah.
