You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Kigali at about 7:00 AM. Then, enjoy a 2.5-hour drive through the scenic countryside to Akagera National Park. After checking in, take a short game drive in the southern part of the park to see zebras, antelopes, buffaloes, baboons, and giraffes. Later, go on a relaxing sunset boat ride on Lake Ihema to spot hippos, crocodiles, and water birds. After the boat trip, head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, go on a full-day game drive across different parts of the park, including savannah, woodland, and lakes. You might see lions, elephants, rhinos, and many antelopes. Have a picnic lunch surrounded by nature. In the afternoon, leave the park from the northern gate and drive back to Kigali, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or home in the early evening.
