Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
Depart from your hotel or designated pick-up point for the approximately 4-hour drive (about 102 miles) to Amboseli National Park. Upon arrival, check in at Amboseli Ol Tukai Lodge and enjoy lunch served in the open-sided dining area, offering breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro (weather permitting) and nearby wildlife, especially elephants grazing close to the lodge.
After afternoon tea, embark on your first game drive in an open 4×4 vehicle with an experienced guide. Explore the park’s open savannah and acacia woodlands, where you’ll spot iconic African wildlife including elephants, lions, leopards, and buffaloes. The 2-hour game drive will take you close to the animals in their natural habitat.
Return to the lodge before dusk to relax by a campfire, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Amboseli – Nairobi
Wake early to the sounds of birds and the fresh mountain air. On a clear day, enjoy majestic views of Mount Kilimanjaro. After a light breakfast, embark on a 2-hour morning game drive. Early mornings are ideal for spotting wildlife, especially carnivores like lions, leopards, and cheetahs as they rest after night hunts.
Return to the lodge for a full breakfast, then check out for the drive back to Nairobi.
