Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park – Elephants & Baobabs
Your Safari Trip in Tanzania begins early in the morning with a transfer from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi to Tarangire National Park. Known as the “home of elephants,” Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds and towering baobab trees that dominate the savannah landscape.
Upon arrival, you’ll embark on a full-day game drive with a packed lunch. Tarangire is one of Tanzania’s best-kept secrets, offering opportunities to spot endangered African wild dogs, cheetahs, giraffes, greater and lesser kudu, and oryx. Bird lovers will be amazed, with over 550 species recorded here—more than in the Serengeti. The park’s rolling plains and river valleys provide stunning scenery, making it a photographer’s paradise.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater – The Natural Wildlife Haven
After breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most spectacular natural wonders and a highlight of any Safari Trip in Tanzania. Descend 600 meters into the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera for a full-day game drive.
The crater is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including prides of lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeests. Most notably, it offers one of the best chances in Tanzania to spot the endangered black rhino. With its unique ecosystem of grasslands, forests, and a central soda lake, Ngorongoro provides year-round game viewing. After enjoying a picnic lunch surrounded by wildlife, you’ll ascend the crater walls and return to Arusha or Moshi, marking the end of your adventure.
