Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Kigali
The day starts early with a 5:00 AM wake-up call. After a quick breakfast at 5:15 AM, you’ll check out of your room and proceed to the park gate. Our guide will assist with documentation while you enjoy live traditional entertainment at the briefing point.
Rangers from the Uganda Wildlife Authority will conduct a detailed orientation, covering safety, gorilla behavior, and trekking etiquette. You will then be assigned to a trekking group and set off into the dense rainforest for a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla encounter. The trek can last 3 to 4 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements.
Once you meet the gorillas, you’ll spend a magical hour observing their natural behavior. After returning from the trek, you’ll receive a certificate of participation. We’ll then begin our return journey to Kigali, where your guide will drop you off at your hotel or preferred location. End of tour.
