Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park – Enter the Land of Giants
Your Safari Trip in Kenya begins in Nairobi, where one of our professional representatives will meet and brief you about your upcoming safari. At 1:00 pm EAT, you’ll depart the city and head south toward Amboseli, a drive that takes you past vibrant roadside markets, traditional Maasai villages, and sweeping savannah landscapes.
By late afternoon, you’ll arrive at the gates of Amboseli National Park. After checking into Nyati Safari Camp and enjoying a hot lunch, you’ll set out on your first game drive at 4:00 pm. The late afternoon is one of the best times to explore, as the temperature cools and animals become more active.
As you drive across the open plains, the first thing you’ll notice is the sheer number of elephants. Amboseli has the highest concentration of elephants in the world, with herds that often number in the hundreds. Many of these elephants have been studied for decades, so researchers know them by name and family history. Your guide will share fascinating details about their behavior and social bonds.
But elephants are only part of the story. You may also spot prides of lions lounging in the grass, cheetahs scanning the horizon, buffalo grazing near the swamps, or giraffes gracefully feeding on acacia leaves. All of this takes place with Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest mountain at 5,895 meters, towering in the distance. The sight of wildlife framed by this iconic peak is a photographer’s dream.
After the game drive, return to camp to freshen up and enjoy dinner under the starry African sky. The evening is for relaxation — listen to the distant calls of hyenas and the soft rustle of the savannah as you prepare for the next day’s adventure.

Day 2: Full-Day Safari in Amboseli National Park – Wildlife and Wilderness
Rise early for a hearty breakfast, then set off with packed lunches for a full-day game drive in Amboseli. Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the park’s diverse habitats, ensuring you maximize your wildlife encounters.
Amboseli is not just Kenya’s elephant capital; it’s also home to the Big Five and a wide range of other species. Your guide will take you through different sections of the park:
- The Marshes, where elephants and hippos spend much of their day feeding. Here, birdwatchers will be delighted by sightings of herons, egrets, and fish eagles.
- The Plains, where predators such as lions and cheetahs often hunt. The wide-open landscapes make for spectacular photography opportunities.
- Acacia Woodlands, home to giraffes, monkeys, and smaller antelope species.
- Seasonal Lakes and Dust Pans, where herds of wildebeest and zebra gather.
As you traverse these varied terrains, your guide will explain animal behaviors, migration patterns, and conservation efforts that keep Amboseli thriving. Keep your camera ready — every turn could bring a new surprise, from a leopard resting in the shade to hyenas circling a herd of wildebeest.
Picnic lunch will be enjoyed at a scenic spot in the park, often with sweeping views of Kilimanjaro in the background. The mountain is most visible in the early morning or late afternoon, its snow-capped peak a breathtaking contrast to the warm savannah below.
After a full day of adventure, return to your camp in the evening. Enjoy dinner and share stories of the day’s sightings as you relax around the campfire or on your veranda.

Day 3: Morning Safari and Return to Nairobi – Farewell to Amboseli
On your final day, rise before dawn for a sunrise game drive. The early morning hours are magical — the air is cool, predators are active, and the light is perfect for photography. You may witness elephants heading to the marshes, lions returning from a night of hunting, or hyenas scavenging in the golden light.
This is also your last chance to capture iconic views of Mount Kilimanjaro. On clear mornings, the snow-capped peak is revealed in all its glory, towering above the plains.
After the game drive, return to camp for breakfast before beginning your journey back to Nairobi. The drive is smooth and scenic, giving you time to reflect on the incredible experiences of the past three days. Upon arrival, you’ll be dropped off at your preferred location — either your hotel or the airport for your onward journey.
This marks the end of your 3-Day Safari Trip in Kenya, but the memories — of elephants beneath Kilimanjaro, lions in the grass, and sunsets over the savannah — will stay with you forever.
