Day 1: Nairobi – Sirimon Gate – Old Moses Camp
Your trip starts with a morning pick-up from Nairobi. You will drive towards Nanyuki, crossing the equator along the way. The drive takes about 4–5 hours.
From Nanyuki, you continue to Sirimon Gate where you register before entering the park. You will then drive further through the forest zone before starting your hike.
The walk to Old Moses Camp is gentle and allows your body to start adjusting to the altitude. You will pass through forest, bamboo, and moorland areas.
Dinner and overnight at the campsite.

Day 2: Old Moses – Shipton Camp
After breakfast, you begin your trek towards Shipton Camp. The trail is steady and takes you deeper into the mountain.
You will walk through moorland with wide open views. Along the way, you will cross small rivers such as Ontulili River and Liki North River. There will be time for rest and water breaks.
As you approach Mackinder’s Valley, the scenery becomes more dramatic. You will see high peaks, rocky slopes, and glaciers in the distance.
Shipton Camp is located below the main peaks and offers one of the best views on the mountain. You may also see animals such as rock hyrax and sunbirds around the camp.

Day 3: Shipton – Point Lenana – Old Moses – Nairobi
You will wake up early at around 3:00 a.m. for the summit attempt. The hike to Point Lenana takes about 3–4 hours.
The climb is slow and steady. As you reach the top, you will enjoy a beautiful sunrise over the mountain. On a clear day, you may even see Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance.
After spending time at the summit, you will descend back to Shipton Camp for breakfast. Later, you continue descending through Mackinder’s Valley to Old Moses Camp.
After a short rest and lunch, you will drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the evening.
