Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Your Tanzania Safari Trip begins after breakfast with a scenic two-hour drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. With a packed lunch in hand, spend the day exploring this vast wilderness famous for its huge elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse habitats ranging from savannah grasslands to seasonal swamps.
The Tarangire River is the lifeline of the park, attracting countless animals, especially during the dry season. Expect sightings of lions stalking prey, leopards resting in acacia trees, giraffes browsing the plains, and large herds of zebras and wildebeests. After an eventful day of game viewing, you’ll return to Martina’s Retreat for dinner, relaxation, and overnight stay.

Day 2: Lake Eyasi – Hadzabe & Datoga Cultural Experience
After breakfast, your Tanzania Safari Trip continues with a drive to Lake Eyasi, one of the most culturally rich areas of Northern Tanzania. Here, you will meet the Hadzabe tribe, among the last remaining hunter-gatherer communities in Africa. Join them on a morning hunt and learn about their unique traditions, survival techniques, and connection to nature.
Later, visit the Datoga tribe, skilled blacksmiths known for crafting tools, weapons, and jewelry from scrap metal using traditional methods. Explore the surrounding Lake Eyasi area and village life before returning to Martina’s Retreat in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater – Return to Arusha
On the final day of your Tanzania Safari Trip, you’ll head to the iconic Ngorongoro Crater. After breakfast, descend into this UNESCO World Heritage Site, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, which hosts over 30,000 animals.
Game drives in the crater offer opportunities to spot the Big Five – lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and black rhinos – along with hippos, cheetahs, and flocks of pink flamingos at the soda lake. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the Hippo Pool before ascending the crater walls and returning to Arusha by late afternoon, marking the end of your unforgettable 3-day safari.
