Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve
You’ll be picked up from the airport, hotel, or residence in Nairobi and begin your journey north toward Samburu National Reserve. After arriving and checking in at your lodge, you’ll have lunch and head out for an afternoon game drive. Samburu is home to the rare Samburu Special Five—reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk—plus elephants, lions, and more. Dinner and overnight stay at Samburu Simba Lodge.
Day 2: Full Day in Samburu National Reserve
Spend the entire day exploring Samburu’s rugged and beautiful landscapes. With morning and afternoon game drives, you’ll have plenty of chances to see wildlife, including predators and unique birdlife. All meals and overnight at Samburu Simba Lodge.
Day 3: Samburu to Ol Pejeta Conservancy
After breakfast and a short game drive, you’ll depart for Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a private sanctuary known for rhino conservation and its chimpanzee sanctuary. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive. You’ll have the opportunity to see the Big Five, endangered species, and possibly visit the chimpanzees (optional activity). Dinner and overnight at Sweetwaters Serena Camp.
Day 4: Ol Pejeta to Nairobi
After breakfast, enjoy a final morning in the bush before heading back to Nairobi. You’ll be dropped off at your hotel, residence, or the airport depending on your travel plans.
