Day 1: Dar es Salaam → Mikumi National Park
Your kenya big five safari packages 2025 journey begins early with a 5:30 AM drive from Dar es Salaam through Chalinze and Morogoro to Mikumi National Park. Along the way, you’ll enjoy a packed lunch. Once in Mikumi, you’ll go on a game drive where you may spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, lions, and more. Mikumi’s flat savannah makes animal spotting easy. After your drive, head to Camp Bastian Mikumi for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Maasai Visit → Drive to Nyerere National Park
After breakfast, visit a nearby Maasai village to learn about their culture and traditions. Afterward, set off on a scenic 7–8 hour drive to Nyerere National Park, with a picnic lunch en route. You’ll pass through remote, untouched landscapes. Arrive at Africa Safari Selous Lodge, where dinner and your overnight stay await.

Day 3: Game Drive & Boat Safari in Nyerere
Spend your day exploring Nyerere National Park on a game drive, with a picnic lunch in the wild. Look out for rare animals like wild dogs, sable antelopes, black rhinos, and large herds of elephant and buffalo. In the evening, enjoy a sunset boat safari on the Rufiji River, where you’ll spot crocodiles, hippos, and many of the park’s 350+ bird species. Optional: try your luck fishing for tiger fish or catfish.

Day 4: Walking Safari & Flight to Zanzibar
Start early with a sunrise walking safari, one of the best ways to experience the bush up close. Guided by a ranger, you’ll learn about tracks, plants, and the ecosystem. After the walk, return to camp for breakfast and prepare for your departure. You’ll be transferred to the airstrip to catch your flight to Zanzibar.
