Day 1: Cape Town to Maun – Welcome to Botswana
Your journey begins with a flight from Cape Town International Airport to Maun, Botswana, taking approximately 2.5 hours. Upon landing, you’ll be met by your safari guide for a scenic 1.5-hour road transfer to Boteti Tented Safari Lodge. After checking in and enjoying a welcome drink, unwind by the pool or join a short guided nature walk to get acquainted with your surroundings. In the evening, enjoy a delicious three-course dinner under the stars as you take in the peaceful atmosphere of the Delta.
Day 2: Mokoro Safari Experience in the Okavango Delta
After breakfast, embark on a full-day mokoro excursion—a traditional dugout canoe experience that allows you to quietly explore the Delta’s channels and wetlands. Along the way, you’ll spot wildlife like hippos, crocodiles, antelope, and colorful birdlife. Stop for a picnic lunch on an island, followed by a guided bush walk where you’ll learn about the unique ecosystems and animal tracks of the region. Return to the lodge in the evening for sundowners overlooking the Boteti River, followed by another relaxing dinner.
Day 3: Full-Day Safari in Moremi Game Reserve
Start early with breakfast before setting off for a full-day game drive in the Moremi Game Reserve, one of Africa’s richest wildlife areas. During the day, you’ll search for the Big Five and other animals like zebra, giraffe, hippo, and cheetah, while exploring diverse landscapes such as floodplains, acacia forests, and open savannahs. Enjoy a bush lunch in the reserve, then continue your safari until late afternoon. After returning to the lodge, reflect on your adventures over your final gourmet dinner under the African night sky.
Day 4: Departure
After a leisurely breakfast, check out of the lodge and transfer back to Maun Airport for your flight back to Cape Town, bringing your unforgettable Delta experience to a close.
