Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara โ Begin Your Family Tour
Your Family Tour begins with an early morning pick-up from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your Nairobi hotel. After a short briefing with your driver-guide, you will join other travelers and set out toward the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Along the way, youโll stop at the famous Great Rift Valley viewpoint to capture breathtaking family photos of the escarpment before continuing the scenic drive.
Arriving in Narok town, the gateway to the Maasai Mara, youโll enjoy lunch before proceeding to Miti Mingi Eco Camp. In the afternoon, embark on your first family-friendly game drive. Children and adults alike will be fascinated by the chance to see lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and possibly even leopards in their natural habitat.
After the safari, return to camp for a delicious dinner and overnight stay, sharing stories of the dayโs adventures as a family.

After breakfast, set off for a full-day Family Tour across the Maasai Mara. With packed picnic lunches, youโll explore deeper into the reserve, searching for the Big Fiveโlion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopardโwhile also encountering cheetahs, gazelles, and vast herds of wildebeest. The Maraโs open plains make wildlife easy to spot, making it perfect for children and first-time safari-goers.
Lunch will be served at the Mara River, where your family can enjoy a picnic while watching hippos and crocodiles bask in the sun. Between July and October, this river is the dramatic setting for the Great Wildebeest Migration, one of the worldโs most spectacular wildlife events.

Departing the Mara, youโll travel toward Lake Nakuru National Park, stopping for lunch en route. Families have the option of taking a short boat ride at Lake Naivasha (extra cost), where hippos and colorful birdlife make for exciting sightings.
Arrive in Nakuru late in the afternoon and check in at Buraha Zenoni Hotel & Resort. After dinner, relax together and prepare for the following dayโs game drive.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Nairobi โ End of the Family Tour
After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, a must-see highlight for families. Famous for its pink flamingos along the lakeshore, Nakuru is also home to endangered black and white rhinos, giraffes, zebras, lions, and leopards. Children will be fascinated by the colorful birdlife, while parents appreciate the parkโs striking scenery.
