Day 1: Arrival at Kigali International Airport
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our company staff. You will receive a briefing about the safari and be introduced to your driver/guide. Transfer to your hotel for check-in, dinner, and overnight stay.Accommodation: M Hotel
Day 2: Kigali City Tour and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early breakfast, check out from your hotel and visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre to learn about the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi, where over one million Rwandans were killed in 100 days.
Following lunch, begin your scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda. Enjoy views of terraced farming and lush landscapes along the way. Bwindi is home to approximately half of the world’s endangered mountain gorillas. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.Accommodation: Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking and Cultural Tour
Begin your day with an early morning coffee, followed by a briefing from Uganda Wildlife officials on the gorilla trekking process. Enter the jungle in search of the elusive mountain gorillas and enjoy observing their natural behavior for up to one hour.
Gorilla trekking requires a moderate fitness level and appropriate gear such as walking shoes, packed food, mineral water, insect repellent, sunscreen, and a hat. The trek duration varies depending on gorilla movement.
After trekking, return to the starting point for lunch before transferring back to Rwanda. On arrival, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.Accommodation: Da Vinci Gorilla Lodge
Day 4: Golden Monkey Trekking and Transfer to Airport
After breakfast, embark on a golden monkey trekking excursion in search of these colorful primates in the jungle. This trek is less strenuous compared to gorilla trekking but equally rewarding.
Return to the lodge for lunch, then transfer back to Kigali for drop-off at the airport or your accommodation for onward travel.
