5-Day Magical Ndutu Migration Calving Season Safari

Highlights

February and March are the best months to see the wildebeest calving season in the Ndutu Area, part of the southern Serengeti. During this time, thousands of wildebeest and zebras give birth, and predators are often nearby. It’s an exciting time to witness new life and dramatic wildlife interactions in Tanzania.

Details Itinerary

You’ll be picked up from your hotel and begin your journey to the Ndutu Area, enjoying beautiful scenery along the way. Located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Lake Ndutu is rich in wildlife, especially during the migration. You’ll enjoy your first game drive here, where you may see wildebeest, elephants, birds, and more.

Accommodation: Ndutu Heritage Camp

After breakfast, go on a morning game drive in the Ndutu plains. Return to camp for lunch, then continue in the afternoon toward Seronera, following the migration paths. In the evening, watch the sunset while learning more about this world-famous migration event in the Serengeti.

Today, you head deeper into Serengeti National Park. This area is home to the Big Five—lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos. Serengeti is known for its large lion population and the abundance of other wildlife.

After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. The crater is home to over 25,000 animals, including the Big Five and many bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch before heading to your lodge for the night.
