Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
Your safari begins with a drive from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park. After checking into your lodge and having lunch, you’ll head out for an afternoon game drive. Amboseli is famous for its elephants, but you’ll also see giraffes, lions, cheetahs, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, and more. After the game drive, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Full Day in Amboseli
Start your day early with a morning game drive, the best time to view Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds roll in. You’ll carry a packed lunch for the day. There’s also an optional visit to a local Maasai village (at an extra cost of $30) where you can experience their culture, songs, dances, and traditional homes. Amboseli is home to over 600 bird species and offers some of the best elephant viewing in Africa. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Amboseli to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, travel to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive where you’ll see flamingos along the lake, as well as zebras, giraffes, gazelles, rhinos, and more. An optional boat ride is available at an extra cost of $30. The park is also a great spot for birdwatching and has a variety of ecosystems including woodlands, grasslands, and rocky escarpments.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, depart for the Maasai Mara, arriving around lunchtime. After settling into your lodge, enjoy a late afternoon game drive. The Mara is famous for its wildlife and is part of the same ecosystem as Tanzania’s Serengeti. You’ll see lions, elephants, cheetahs, and many more animals in their natural habitat. In the evening, relax by the campfire before dinner.

Day 5: Full Day in the Maasai Mara
Start early with a morning game drive and picnic breakfast. Explore the wide savannah, visit the Mara River, and even see the border between Kenya and Tanzania. During the Great Migration (seasonal), watch wildebeests cross the river—an unforgettable sight. Optional activities include visiting a Maasai village to learn about their traditions and lifestyle. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Maasai Mara to Nairobi
Go on an early morning game drive, then return for breakfast. After checking out, drive back to Nairobi via Narok town with a few scenic stopovers. Depending on your schedule, you can go on a short city tour or be taken directly to the airport for your flight home.
Optional: Hot air balloon safaris are available in the Maasai Mara at an extra cost.
