Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
Your Kenya tour begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. After a short briefing, depart for Amboseli National Park, located near the border with Tanzania.
Arrive in time for lunch at Amboseli Sopa Lodge, beautifully situated near the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. After settling in and enjoying the lodge’s peaceful surroundings, head out for your first afternoon game drive.
Amboseli is often called the “Land of Giants” because of its large population of elephants. These magnificent animals roam the open plains with the dramatic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, creating some of the most iconic safari scenes in Africa. Other wildlife frequently seen here includes lions, hyenas, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, and numerous bird species around the park’s swampy wetlands.
Return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and overnight while the sounds of the African wilderness echo across the plains.

Day 2: Full Day in Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, spend the day exploring the diverse ecosystems of Amboseli National Park.
You may choose a full-day safari with picnic lunch or enjoy morning and afternoon game drives with time to relax at the lodge during midday. Early mornings offer excellent opportunities to see predators such as lions and hyenas before the day warms up.
Amboseli’s wetlands attract a remarkable concentration of wildlife. Large herds of elephants gather around the marshes, while hippos wallow in the water and numerous birds feed along the shoreline. The park is also home to over 400 bird species, including pelicans, kingfishers, and the striking grey crowned crane.
Throughout the day, your guide will help track wildlife across the plains while sharing insights into the park’s ecosystems and animal behavior.

Day 3: Amboseli – Lake Naivasha – Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, depart Amboseli and travel north through the spectacular landscapes of the Great Rift Valley. Along the way, stop at scenic viewpoints where the valley escarpments drop dramatically into the plains below.
Arrive at Lake Naivasha around midday and enjoy lunch before embarking on a boat safari across the tranquil freshwater lake. Hippos can often be seen surfacing near the shoreline while African fish eagles soar overhead.
Continue to Crescent Island Game Sanctuary, where you will enjoy a guided walking safari among freely roaming wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, and gazelles.
Later in the afternoon, proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park and check in at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge, perched on a hillside overlooking the park. Enjoy dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara
Begin the day with a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, one of the best places in Kenya to see both black and white rhinos.
The park’s landscapes range from open grasslands to acacia woodlands and lake shorelines where flamingos often gather when conditions are favorable. Wildlife here includes Rothschild’s giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and numerous bird species.
After breakfast, depart for the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve. The scenic drive takes you through rolling hills and traditional Maasai lands before arriving at Masai Mara Sopa Lodge in time for lunch.
In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in the Masai Mara. The reserve is famous for its high concentration of predators including lions, cheetahs, and leopards. During migration season, enormous herds of wildebeest and zebras cross the plains in search of fresh grazing.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Full Day in Masai Mara
Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the vast wilderness of the Masai Mara National Reserve.
After breakfast, depart for a full-day game drive with picnic lunch. Your guide will take you across different parts of the reserve including the famous Mara River, where crocodiles and hippos gather and dramatic river crossings occur during the migration season.
Optional: Begin the morning with a hot air balloon safari, floating above the savannah at sunrise before enjoying a champagne bush breakfast upon landing.
Throughout the day, expect to see prides of lions resting beneath acacia trees, cheetahs scanning the plains, and elephants moving in family groups across the grasslands. The Mara is also home to hyenas, jackals, antelopes, and hundreds of bird species.
Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

Day 6: Masai Mara to Nairobi
On your final day, enjoy an early sunrise game drive in the Masai Mara National Reserve, when wildlife activity is at its peak and the golden morning light creates ideal photography conditions.
After breakfast at the lodge, begin the return journey to Nairobi. The drive takes you through scenic countryside and traditional Maasai communities before arriving in the city during the afternoon.
You will be dropped off at your hotel or transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your unforgettable Kenya Tours safari.
