Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve
Your safari begins after breakfast when your driver picks you up from your hotel in Nairobi. You’ll enjoy a scenic drive through Kenya’s central highlands with views of coffee, tea, and pineapple farms. You’ll arrive in Samburu in time for lunch, followed by your first afternoon game drive. Samburu is a semi-arid park known for animals found only in northern Kenya, like the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, and Beisa oryx. Dinner and overnight at Ashnil Samburu Camp.
Day 2: Full Day in Samburu
Spend the full day exploring Samburu. Morning and evening game drives give you the best chance to spot wildlife. The park is home to the “Samburu Special Five” and also big cats like lions and leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and over 350 species of birds. In between drives, you’ll return to the camp for meals and some rest. Dinner and overnight stay at Ashnil Samburu Camp.
Day 3: Samburu to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive in Samburu before heading to Lake Nakuru. You may stop at Thompson Falls along the way (optional at extra cost). Lake Nakuru is known for its flamingos and rhinos, and it’s one of the few places to see the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe. After lunch at your lodge, enjoy a game drive in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at The Cliff.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara
Depart Lake Nakuru after breakfast and drive to Masai Mara, passing through the scenic Rift Valley. You’ll arrive in time for lunch at your camp, followed by an afternoon game drive. The Masai Mara is famous for its rich wildlife and endless plains. Dinner and overnight at Ashnil Mara Camp.
Day 5: Full Day in Masai Mara
Today you’ll enjoy a full day of game drives in the Masai Mara. With chances to spot the Big Five and other incredible wildlife, this is one of Africa’s best safari experiences. You may also choose to do a hot air balloon ride at sunrise (extra cost). Meals and overnight at Ashnil Mara Camp.
Day 6: Masai Mara to Nairobi
Start the day with a final early morning game drive. After breakfast, you’ll check out and drive back to Nairobi with a stop for lunch in Narok town. You’ll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, ending your safari with unforgettable memories of Kenya’s wildlife and landscapes.
